Are your products organic?

All of our ingredients are certified organic. However, due to current regulations, when we blend these ingredients, we are no longer permitted to display the organic logo on the final product. despite each ingredient remaining organic. (slightly unfair don't you agree!!!)

Are your products 100% natural ?

At Laura Hupping Botanicals, we strive to keep our products as natural as possible. While many of our formulations are 100% natural, there are instances where this may not be feasible. We believe in transparency, providing our customers with clear and accurate information about the ingredients in our products. Each product label includes a detailed ingredient list, empowering consumers to make informed choices. Rest assure all our ingredients are carefully selected based on rigorous safety standards.

Eco friendly packaging

All our packaging is fully recyclable, with our cardboard boxes sourced from FSC-certified forests, ensuring that we help preserve forests for future generations. Additionally, we use fully biodegradable Eco-flo foam peanuts for shipping, providing an eco-friendly solution for protecting your orders. Please help us further by reordering your pump bottle products without a new pump !

Animal Testing and Ethical Practices Declaration

Laura Hupping Botanicals is a family-run business with a deep commitment to cruelty-free practices, standing firmly against animal testing since our founding. We exclusively partner with suppliers who share our values, ensuring that neither our ingredients nor finished products have ever been tested on animals, whether in the UK or anywhere else in the world.
We do not conduct or commission any animal testing at any stage of product development, for either cosmetic or household items. Additionally, as a vegan skincare line, our products contain no animal-derived ingredients, making them suitable for all to enjoy.

Modern Slavery Declaration

We are dedicated to conducting all our business dealings and relationships with the highest standards of ethics and integrity. We implement systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery has no place in our operations or within the supply chains of our suppliers.

Why do you have Phenoxyethanol in your products?

Phenoxyethanol is used in skin care for several reasons, and usually in a synthetic rather than natural form
  • Preservation: It effectively protects formulations from microbial contamination, which can occur with each use of a product.
  • Synergy with Other Preservatives: Often used in combination with other preservatives, phenoxyethanol enhances overall efficacy and helps reduce the amount needed.
  • Stability: This ingredient remains stable under various conditions, ensuring consistent product performance.
Concerns about phenoxyethanol have been thoroughly evaluated. While some consumers may worry about potential effects such as endocrine disruption or allergic reactions, extensive research and reviews by regulatory bodies—like the European Commission’s Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS)—have concluded that phenoxyethanol is safe for use in cosmetics at concentrations up to 1%.
We use phenoxyethanol in our products at concentrations well within the safe limits established by health authorities, ensuring that our formulations are free from harmful microbial contamination while upholding the highest standards of safety and efficacy.
